Shared Values - Defined
The following list of behaviors and attitudes defining the six shared values were developed from the input of individuals who know what it takes to be part of the Permanente family - the frontline TSPMG physicians and associate providers:

  Maintain a practice that demonstrates high quality of care by any measurement
  Seeks best practices from others; is comfortable asking colleagues for help
  Provides care that is evidenced-based; adheres to practice guidelines
  Meets and maintains credentialing standards and requirements
  Stays abreast of advances in clinical care and technology in order to provide high quality care
  Maintains appropriate level of computer literacy
  Proactive in managing practice even when issues seem out to their area of control
  Cooperates and supports data collection to analyze performance
II. Dedication to Service of the Highest Quality
  Demonstrates courtesy, respect, compassion and a caring attitude to members in order to enhance the clinician-patient relationship
  Clearly explains the plan for care to patients in order to ensure patient adherence
  Practice demonstrates a patient-first orientation and a sense of responsibility for the patient's total care experience
  Strives to continually enhance personal patient communication skills
  Demonstrates a passion for caring for patients
III. Honesty and Ethical in Actions

  Adherence to departmental and regional policies regarding requests for time-off

  Practices cost-effective medical care by measurement agreed upon by department
  Adheres to the standards of Permanente Medicine regarding formulary compliance, referral standards and the appropriate use of each hospital day
  Seeks improvements in systems and processes that potentially could improve organizational cost structure while maintaining outstanding clinical care
  Actively promotes ownership.."I am Permanente."
