Achieving new heights in The Antelope Valley
At Kaiser Permanente in the Antelope Valley, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of our growing community. In 2003, we responded to our increasing membership by introducing the Palmdale Medical Offices, a 47,000 square-foot building that houses a diverse range of services, plus a Health Education Center with a video library, a health store, family education rooms and conference rooms. In 2008, we expanded our Lancaster Campus by 34,000 square-feet, which enabled us to add 15 additional urgent care beds—including 5 for observation—and create space for orthopedic, podiatry, dermatology, head and neck and urology services, plus an X-ray room, lab space and several conference rooms. Whatever need may arise for the people we serve, Kaiser Permanente in the Antelope Valley stands ready to meet it.
Connected to the Antelope Valley
We work hand-in-hand with our community to help its people live well, be well and thrive. We're proud to be part of the Lancaster and Palmdale communities, and have built strong partnerships with local organizations to launch and maintain an array of health and wellness initiatives for our neighbors, family and friends. We also award community service grants, donate surplus equipment, offer volunteer services, provide educational programs, share medical expertise and support the activities of local non-profit organizations.
A fast-growing community with hometown spirit
Comprised of the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale, CA, the Antelope Valley is a family-focused community with a mind for business. The city of Lancaster alone has been successful in creating 5,000 new high-quality jobs, and was named the "Most Business-Friendly City" at the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation 2007 Eddy Awards. Lancaster's counterpart, Palmdale, is equally impressive. The sixth-largest city in Los Angeles County, Palmdale has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing towns in America. Over the past decade, Palmdale has enjoyed tremendous prosperity, increasing the quality of life for the 145,000 residents and over 2,000 companies that call it home. Antelope Valley's unique air corridors and excellent flying weather also makes it a hub for aviation and aerospace research. In fact, the testing that's conducted here can't be done anywhere else in the world.
